Lucia Caminos is one of the two playable protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI and makes history as the first female lead in a mainline GTA game with full voice acting. She was introduced in GTA 6's first trailer in December 2023.

Rockstar's official character description states: "Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk. Life has been coming at her swinging ever since. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary. Sheer luck got her out."

Lucia grew up in Liberty City — the GTA universe's version of New York — before eventually ending up incarcerated at Leonida Penitentiary. Trailer 2 (May 2025) opens with Jason picking her up on the day of her release, and the story follows them from there.

Her character is described by Rockstar as having learned her lesson: "only smart moves from here." But Lucia's definition of smart moves involves sophisticated crime. More than anything, she wants the good life her mother dreamed of — and she's prepared to take matters into her own hands to get it. "A life with Jason could be her way out," her official bio reads.

She is often described as the series' first female protagonist, though technically she follows several optional or silent female characters from earlier GTA games. She is, however, the first playable female lead with a unique storyline and full voice acting in the mainline series.
